Wedding Proposals truly are a once in a lifetime event.
When Future Grooms first message me, I can feel their nerves. I know and mention right out of the gate that they have basically no clue what to ask of me as the photographer. I mean, yes they have an idea, but knowing how to execute it, is something totally different.
Luckily in my case, I have had lots of experience photographing these moments. I can tell them what would be the best time, location, where to face, when to get down on that knee, etc. It’s magic.
And Oh Boy, I can see the shaking nerves. I can feel her reaction through my lenses. A moment forever captured. I honestly believe the still images have far more impact than any video. Forever, that simple print on your shelf or wall will move each and every day in your mind’s eye without even hitting “play” on some device.

All three of these (and yes one bonus one as I was photographing Zach & Sarah’s with that awesome Sky. Right behind them Alex was taking a knee for Miranda.) happened to be at The Lighthouse Restaurant in Cedar Lake, Indiana. The fellas all took to heart my advice, and they turned out great.
