What a year it has been for High School Seniors who I have photographed. The challenges are fun and very real in envisioning these grads in a way which shows their own vision and who they are as a person.
Many parents contact me in what they believe as "too late" to get portraits in for their grads in the spring. Many I even do after graduation. To me, the important part is that they do get these in, as for many, this will be the only time in their life they get to have such a photo session. These images become so important as time passes by.
I will start this Blog Entry with 2 to 3 images from each of these wonderful Seniors. (I do have more extensive Galleries for each of these High School Seniors on our Business Facebook Page: Amelse Photography)
My photography style will always lean towards bringing out the "you".
I love bringing advanced professional lighting many times to bring out brilliant colors and bring life into the eyes of the subjects.
At the same time I realize everyone has their own unique way of seeing themselves. So request for a more subtle tone, or even a more vintage look as you will see in these images is perfectly fine and well within my experice as both a photographer and a long time photo editor. I love the challenges which can stretch my style.
Be you.
I did do a little copy and paste of this, however, it really is spot on.
I usually try and get in at least 2 locations. Just so we have a different vibe. But I give that choice to the Seniors themselves.
A little preparation goes a long way toward making your senior session feel easy and enjoyable. Before your appointment, think about the style you want to achieve and the outfits that best fit that vision.
Helpful ways to prepare include:
If you are not sure where to begin, Mark will guide you through the process so you feel ready from the start.
Senior portraits should never feel stiff or overwhelming. My experience has been to keep you comfortable, guided, and natural from beginning to end.
I get it, not everyone starts out as a "Super Model" (Although there have been a few over the years.). I promise, by the end, even if you start out doing these "for mom", you will come away enjoying this time. And yeah, I talk way too much. LOL
We will go at your pace. I never do these sessions looking at a watch. I love taking portraits. Get it!
