This Is a Blast!

There's a moment, in every wedding in which I stop and look at all the faces around me. And then it hits me. This is more than just one event. This is love, this is family, this is the ultimate friendship and more than any other time, this defines us. In a wedding we surround ourselves with those that mean the most in our lives. We laugh, we cry and we celebrate.

So here I am with my cameras. I've become part of this family for a day. I really believe this is one thing that separates myself from most photographers. I'm probably less formal than most photographers you shall ever meet. You see, I prefer to be part of this emotion. This helps me capture these great moments. (Please don't tell my wife, but I tend to cry at just about every wedding I shoot.) Quite simply, I love people.

For many other photographers this is a job. For myself, there is nowhere else I would rather be, than at your Wedding, with my cameras.

I've been asked to describe my (our; my wife included) style. Well I like to call it "mush" photography. Let's combine, photojournalism (but not to much), classic portraiture (but not to much), new age digital artistry (but not to much), magazine style (but not to much) and fun (Okay, A Whole Lot of Fun), and you get mush. Let's just get the best image, whether it be posed or candid, to bring a moment to life when viewed as a static image. Let it move once more in a viewers mind. Can you not feel a bride walking? Can you not relax in a wonderful moment? Wow, this is a BLAST!
